Art of the Dog is a fantastic dog training academy, founded in 2019 in Denver.
They counted with excellent trainers, a wonderful staff, and lots of experience.
However, their lack of a cohesive digital strategy prevented them from reaching new heights.

In viable leads of customers looking for premium dog training services.
In organic clicks, which resulted in an additional 5K clicks in approximately 12 months.
AOD expanded its first facility in 2022 and opened a second one in 2024.
Small business owners are masters of their craft, but can sometimes be unsure about their digital strategy.
AOD was no different, they were amazing dog trainers before we had the opportunity to work together, they were just unsure about how to handle their digital needs or even what they actually needed.
As a result, they struggled to define their digital objectives and create a roadmap to achieve them. This lack of clarity made it difficult for them to identify the right digital tools and resources needed to drive their business forward.
In 2022, we analyzed local search volume for dog trainers in Denver, combined with AOD’s lead-to-deal conversion rate and their current capacity. From this, we determined they needed 24 sign-ups per month to meet their goals.
To reach this, we calculated that they would require 60 leads per month.
We then developed a comprehensive strategy, targeting all stages of the customer journey with upper, middle, and lower-funnel Paid Search campaigns, setting clear, measurable objectives.
As paid traffic began driving results, our next focus was optimizing AOD’s website to boost conversion rates and increase organic traffic.
Update: In 2023, we doubled the goal and the results, with further scaling achieved in 2024.
There’s a big difference between regular website traffic and high-intent website traffic. Users with high intent exhibit drastically different behavior, and as a result, they convert at a much higher rate.
Since AOD offers a premium service—with the cost of their 3-week training programs being significantly higher than typical day training classes at local pet stores—it was crucial to focus on high-intent traffic.
We concentrated on dominating searches for terms like “best dog trainers in Denver”.
These search queries reflected users with a stronger buying intent, leading to much higher quality clicks compared to more generic searches like “dog trainer.”
Over the span of four years, AOD saw impressive growth, increasing from 25 leads per month to consistently averaging over 100 leads within two years. By 2024, they achieved a new average of 214 leads per month.
This remarkable success is the result of a well-executed system that combined multiple digital tools and strategies. Additionally, AOD’s rockstar sales and support teams played a pivotal role, continuously delivering exceptional experiences that wow their customers.
